The doctors at Temple Valley Dental Group are aware that there are many options when it comes to dental treatment. The more ideal options may provide enhanced cosmetics, comfort, function and longevity, a higher quality of life. Other options may mean less treatment time as well as less cost.  What is actually done can only be determined after a complete and thorough examination, which includes an oral cancer screening, gum or "periodontal" exam, TMJ and occlusal exam, as well as complete radiographs (a panographic machine is used which minimizes radiation and maximizes what you can see) and photographs.

These are all reviewed after the patient has been released. About a week later, the patient returns for a consultation.  At this time, Dr. Brown or Dr. Briggs will discuss with the patient what was found during the exam, what will happen if treatment is not rendered, what options are available and what the cost will be, including an estimation of what the insurance may cover.

Once treatment options are decided, financial arrangements are made, and the treatment is scheduled, usually within a week. There is no charge for the consultation, it is included as part of the exam. Many patients want us to "just fix my tooth". However, what is done in one area may affect what is done in another. For this reason, only minimal treatment is usually provided without a consultation. Luvel or Cheryl will be happy to set you up for your exam.
