-
Dr. Brown opened the Temple Valley Dental Group in May of 1975. He is originally from Lansing, Michigan, and graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Zoology in 1968 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1972. He married his wife, Karin, a month later and moved to Hawaii. His father had been stationed here during the war and returned frequently, and Dr. Brown's passion has always been sailing. In his first year here, he worked at Palama Settlement at the Strong Carter Dental Clinic, which gave him considerable experience working with Hawaii's children. He then associated for 2 years in Kailua and Laie before opening his present office.
His wife is a special education teacher, and an accomplished singer and pianist with a music degree from the University of Hawaii and an English degree from Michigan State University. She had previously performed for the Hawaii Opera Theater and the Makai Blues Band. Their son, Ryan, graduated from Punahou in 1994, and Arizona State University in Industrial design. He is managing a fine dining restaurant in Tempe, Arizona, and got married in 2006.
After his family, sailing has remained Dr. Brown's passion, and he does considerable local racing and cruising. He sailed his present boat, Ho'onanea, from San Francisco in 1988 with the Pacific Cup Race. In 1991, his family accompanied him on a four month trip to the South Pacific with stops at Palmyra, Fanning Island, the islands of Tahiti, Tuomotus and Marquesas. He has become more active in performing magic, a long time interest, and performs at corporate and party events.
His specific interests in dentistry are in providing comprehensive care and restoring beautiful smiles. He has taken many courses in restorative, TMJ, and implant cases. Dr. Brown feels lucky to have maintained long term staff members who all share the desire to provide quality dental care in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. He was listed in the Honolulu Magazine "Best Dentists" in Hawaii in the February 2007 issue.

Glenn C. Briggs, D.D.S.

-
Dr. Briggs was born on the winter solstice in Goodland, Kansas. He and his siblings, along with his mother, moved to Boston to live with his grandparents during World War II, while his father served in the Army in Alaska. After the war, his family was reunited on a 160 acre homestead in Eagle River, Alaska. There, they did a lot of reading and listening to the radio. To this day, Dr. Briggs always has a book with him.
He graduated from Graceland College in Iowa, and the University of the Pacific in San Francisco with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1964. His first practice was located in Orange County, California, where he remained for twelve years. California got too crowded for him, so he moved to Guam in 1978.
When he moved to Hawaii, he bought a piece of land in Kaneohe, and built a small house. In 1982, he married his wife, Patti, and subsequently had to make the house bigger. In 1987, he joined Temple Valley Dental Group, and became a partner. Dr. Briggs enjoys crossword puzzles, reading, his numerous and varied array of animals, and working around in his yard.

Her twenty plus years in the office has given her considerable experience in handling all kinds of insurance claims, as well as other areas of office management she oversees.
